More than €3.5 million in donations raised by the Malta Individual Investor Programme (IIP)
Much has been said about the economic gains Malta has derived from its citizenship by investment programme, which is attracting an ever-growing number of hardworking families seeking freedom, stability and global mobility.
But few know about the tangible benefits that the local community is garnering through IIP. Since its start, IIP applicants who were granted Maltese citizenship made more than 550 donations to local NGOs with a total value exceeding €3.5 million.
Today, Parliamentary Secretary Julia Farrugia Portelli inaugurated new playing facilities for kids living at Angela House, with an investment of €70,000, thanks to donations made by IIP applicants to Claris Foundation. As a result, 32 children aged between 3 and 15 years will be enjoying a better life.
“This inauguration sheds light on a reality that is not often spoken about. The benefits of the citizenship by investment programme are not measured through monetary means, but through the legacy it is leaving behind,” Hon Julia Farrugia Portelli.
